The Barrier is the name given to the demarcation lines between the Peninsula and the rest of the world, particularly to the crossing points between the two. There are several common crossing sites through the Barrier that are usable only under the right conditions. The best known crossing site is at Lac Chaussée, France, which opens to the Port City of Vardin; however, after the opening of the Barrier, it is no longer the most frequently used.
